Usually, there is no minimum weight or volume limit to be able to use an expedition service. Therefore, even very light documents can be sent using the services of an expedition company.
Shipping services are generally charged at a relatively economical cost if the weight or volume is light. However, can consumers send large and heavy items such as two-wheeled vehicles with an expedition service?
The answer is yes, but it is likely that consumers will need to pay a large fee for the delivery.
Next, another characteristic of expedition services is the existence of a pick-up service to the sender’s address. Indeed, this service is not provided by all expedition services and each expedition service stipulates various requirements for these services.
Logistics services
Logistics delivery service company is a company that serves the delivery of cargo goods that have large quantities, namely heavy weight and large volume.
Logistics delivery services can be relied on to send goods weighing more than 10 kilograms and the volume is long or wide.
The reason is, in contrast to expedition services, logistics delivery has a minimum amount, both in terms of weight and volume. Although it has a minimum amount, the cost of logistics services is generally more economical when compared to the cost of expedition services.
The minimum number set by the logistics company usually does not have to be met by both. For example, consumers send goods with light weight, but large volume, logistics services can still be served. In the opposite case, small volumes of goods and heavy weights can still be sent by logistics services.
What if the consumer wants to send goods below the minimum limit? Most logistics delivery service companies continue to serve these deliveries, but the fees paid by consumers are still the cost of the minimum number of goods that logistics services can send.
